Dr. P.R. Arun is Senior Principal Scientist & Head of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Division at SACON. He completed his M.Sc. in Zoology (Entomology) from University of Calicut (1993) and Ph.D. from Bharathiar University (2000) focusing on insect seasonality and butterfly ecology in the moist deciduous forests of Siruvani, Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. He has led major EIA studies across India and serves on national expert committees of DST and Himachal Pradesh Government advisory panels.
